Abstract

Spirituality is defined as the pursuit of meaning, purpose, and self-understanding in life. It reflects an individual’s journey of personal growth and transformation, involving a deeper connection with the authentic self, compassion toward the soul (Atman), and service to humanity. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the interplay between psychology and spirituality. By reviewing existing literature, scholarly articles, and research studies, it aims to offer an understanding of the growing convergence between these two domains. The paper also explores historical perspectives, contemporary theories, and empirical evidence on how spirituality intersects with psychological processes. Furthermore, it discusses the integration of spiritual practices in therapeutic settings and their impact on mental health. Overall, the paper provides valuable insights into the role of spirituality in enhancing psychological well-being and informs clinical practice and intervention strategies.
