The present study examined the relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) reliance, social connectedness, and creativity among Generation Z. This study aimed to determine whether reliance on AI tools is significantly associated with social connectedness and creativity among young adults. A quantitative correlational design was employed with a sample of 221 participants aged 18–28 years. Data were collected using the Artificial Intelligence Attitude Scale (AIAS), the Social Connectedness Scale–Revised (SCS-R), and the Short Scale of Creative Self (SCS). Correlation and regression analyses were conducted to test the hypotheses. The findings indicated that AI reliance was not significantly related to social connectedness or creativity, nor did it significantly predict variance in these variables.
However, a significant negative relationship was observed between social connectedness and creativity. The results suggest that routine AI engagement among Generation Z may not independently influence perceived creativity or social connectedness.
