Abstract

Social media is a big part of young adults' lives today. Many people wonder if all that scrolling, liking, and switching between apps affects how our brains work. One important brain function is working memory  the ability to hold and use information in your mind for a short time. This study looked at whether there is a link between how young adults (aged 18–30) use social media and how well their working memory performs.
