Abstract

Young adulthood is a crucial developmental period that is characterized by important career-related decisions, growing responsibilities, and identity exploration. While cognitive and informational frameworks have historically been used to analyze career indecision, fundamental emotional and existential issues that could affect this process have received less attention. The purpose of this study was to investigate the connection between young adults' existential angst, future orientation, and career indecision.

The research design used was quantitative correlational. Using convenience sampling, 215 young individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 who were enrolled in colleges and institutions made up the sample. To measure levels of existential dread, future orientation, and career decision-making challenges, standardized psychological tests were used. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation analysis.
