Abstract

With the increasing presence of the Internet in our daily lives, comes the problem of dependency. Teens and young adults form the largest user base for it, and as a result, have the highest risk of being diagnosed with Internet Addiction. The study was conducted on 127 university students who were asked to complete a questionnaire comprising the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) and Attention Control Scale (ACS). A total of 127 university students participated in this study, of which 64 were male, and 63 females. Correlation and t- test techniques were used for statistical analysis. As per the results of this study, Internet addiction had a strong negative correlation with attention span in university students. There was no significant difference found between the attention spans of internet addicted males and females.
