Abstract

This case study examines the nuanced intersection of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Specific Learning Disorder (SLD) in an adolescent navigating academic, emotional, and social adversity in an urban Indian context. Through comprehensive psychological assessment and psychodynamic formulation, the report illustrates the cumulative impact of comorbidity on functioning and identity formation. The case underscores the importance of a multidisciplinary intervention Integrating cognitive-behavioural therapy, executive function remediation, individualised educational accommodations, and culturally attuned parental guidance. Emphasis is placed on early identification, cross-system collaboration, and caregiver involvement as pivotal to positive prognosis. This study contributes to the growing body of clinical literature addressing adolescent mental health in transitional socio-cultural environments.
