EXAMINE THE CORRELATION BETWEEN STRESS & POSITIVE-NEGATIVE AFFECT AMONG YOUNG ADULTS

The aim of the study is to examine the correlation between stress and positive and negative affect among young adults. Stress is the body's and mind's reaction to difficult circumstances. Positive affect refers to positive emotions and moods, while negative affect involves negative emotions. Managing stress is crucial for overall well-being, as it can impact both positive and negative affect. Strategies like mindfulness and self-care can promote positive affect, while stressors may contribute to negative affect. Balancing stress and emotions are key for mental health. The current study is conducted on the college students in order to get better insight about the correlation that exists between the two. A total sample of 81 young adults was collected. The study used two scales perceived stress scale as well as PANAS scale in order to better understand the correlation between stress and positive and negative affect.
