A frequent neurodevelopmental illness that affects children's social, emotional, and cognitive development is attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Pharmacological and behavioural therapy are common traditional strategies for ADHD, although they might not adequately address all symptom areas. As an alternative or supplemental treatment, mindfulness-based interventions, or MBIs, have grown in popularity because they place an emphasis on developing self-regulation and present-moment awareness. This systematic review looks at how MBIs affect children's ADHD symptoms, with a particular emphasis on impulsivity, hyperactivity, and attentional control. The study concludes that MBIs can considerably improve attention, reduce hyperactivity, and promote emotional regulation in children with ADHD by synthesising findings from observational studies and randomised controlled trials (RCTs). However, variations in sample characteristics and study design point to the need for more research to improve intervention techniques.
