Abstract

The research explores the relationship between social interaction anxiety, sleep quality index and problematic binge watching among young adults (18 – 25 years). This study utilized a quantitative research design and random sampling was carried out to collect a sample of N=153. Data was collected using reliable and valid instruments, including The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), The Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS), The Problematic Series Watching Scale (PSWS). Statistical analysis, including Pearson bivariate correlation analysis and multiple linear regression, was conducted. The results indicated a significant positive correlation between social anxiety and problematic binge watching. Further, the multiple linear regression model indicated that both social anxiety and sleep quality were significant predictors of problematic binge watching.
