The internship at Parindey Foundation provided hands-on experience in clinical counselling, focusing on understanding client histories, building rapport, and implementing therapeutic techniques. This report examines five case studies, highlighting diverse mental health and developmental challenges. Case 1 involved a 20-year-old male diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder, treated with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and counselling. Case 2 featured a 17- year-old female presenting with trauma, depression, and visual hallucinations, suspected to have PTSD. Case 3 addressed a 28-year-old male with OCD and anxiety, emphasizing the importance of psychiatric follow-up. Case 4 described a 3-year-old girl with developmental delays and limited communication, showcasing early intervention techniques. Case 5 involved an 8-year-old female with challenges in social interaction, language, and repetitive behaviours, emphasizing structured routines and special education. The analysis underscored the significance of multidisciplinary approaches, including interviews, genograms, and behavioural observations, in tailoring interventions. Key skills developed included effective communication, empathy, individualized care planning, and collaboration with professionals and families.
